What is there to do in San Jose?

I moved here recently and have been stuck in this craphole for a few months now and have not found anything noteworthy at all to do. What do people actually do around here to pass the time?

No good beer bars, lots of dudes(man jose), and you have to drive like 30 minutes to find twisties. If I wanted to get mugged or get herpes and have to pay child support for the rest of my life, this place would be heaven.

    Please discuss.

I think most people in San Jose, and most of Norcal for that matter, just sit around and dream of one day progressing enough in life to move to Socal.

      Socal > NOcal

Where in San Jose are you? I've always lived in San Jose, and there's not much to do. If you want to have fun, you need to leave SJ. Go to Santa Cruz for the beach, San Francisco for the city. There are some nice roads: Old Santa Cruz Highway, Highway 9, and others.

I lived in San Diego for 5 years. Do not plan on going back.

I am in the booming metropolis of Sunnyvale. We need to set up some drives or something so I can see these roads. I drive a half mile stratch of OSCH twice a week and have been up mount hamilton...

As for SF and Santa Cruz, I find it hard to believe that I have to travel 45 minutes away from SJ to find something reasonable to do.

I'd still take SD over OC or LA any day. Fuck the 405.

And FYI, SJ could classify as Mexico North 2, or New New Delhi...

I like the LA/OC area.... I enjoy around Santa barbara most, though. I like the lack of "stuff to do", and can just go to the beach when we head down there.

Skyline and Page Mill. Only two roads I really enjoy when I go home to Palo Alto/Mountain View.

As far as stuff to do, good luck with that. Still haven't found much.

for twisties, also look for lakeside drive in between san jose & santa cruz. you can get to it from the 9 (if i remember right, it's been a few years).

Sunnyvale is mainly punjabi town! San jose don't have much, but occasionally if you like to hit up the bars Santa row has a few spots. Also downtown los gatos and cambell if you like them white girls. As for downtown sj mainly bunch of dudes, but if you go on the right night theres a good amount girls.

For drives, there is highway 9 like mention already. Also you can take calaveres rd over to livermore, some good twisties.

Other then that there ain't much here!
