Who else loves PHO?

Here's the rundown: fish parts are layered with salt in wooden barrels, which is then filled with water, which is then allowed to sit out in the sun and fermant/rot. The water is then used as a condament.

It called nuoc mam in Vietnam and it's really really stinky stuff, but just a drop or two adds a non-nasty but very unique flavor to Asian food.

I love the stuff, One of my bet friends growing up parents own 2 Pho restaurants here in Austin, Pho Hoang. So I have been eating the stuff for years and cant get enough. Shit Im gonna eat there today!

At first I thought you guys were talking about how they make pho. there is this place thats supposed to be dirty or whatever but I've been eating there for 20 years so I guess it isn't too bad. I bet its the same soup base from the day the place opened that they add to since the flavor is amazing.

i love me some pho. tons of hoisin (sp?), and rooster sauce (i forgot how to spell its name). its not good/hot enough unless im sweating when i get done.

There are a few great Pho places in my town. Whenever I can I get the stuff with all the goodies--tripe & whatnot. Because I can. :)
