      I don't get it. Why would you want a smaller PS3?

              it is quieter, uses less power, takes up less space, costs less money, arguably looks better, is more portable...

              other than that i don't really see any benefit?

                              Next gen is still long way off consoles have the average life of 5 years and if they want there moneys worth they will milk for everything they can.

                                          if anyone is worried about the next gen of consoles coming around, they shouldn't be. if you read any video game news you will find that it will be at least another 3 years before anything is released, if not even longer.

                                              I'm not worried about another console though. There isn't really a need for one yet. And I need to get a bigger TV and better surround sound first.
