I have liked and appreciated most of his movies. The Kill Bill movies were cool. I can't say this one sucked, but I didn't enjoy it and only recommend it once it hits videos. His attempt at humor was lame and the only character that was interesting was the SS Jew Hunter. I was wanting less gratuitous violence and at least some gratuitous nudity from Diane Krueger. Big disappointment.

        "Der Stiglitz" FTW!!!

I agree there were some slow parts, but still a great Tarantino movie! Brad Pitt's character was a little too cliche at times, but after seeing "Burn After Reading" I have come to appreciate his performances in these roles more.

Second statement: True. The structure and moral of movies from Hollywood indeed follows Jewish story telling structure and morality. Small guy against big guy. Small guy wins. Fighting against adversity. Familly values. Hollywood was Jewish in the 1930s (Metro-Golwin Meyer) and still is in the 21st century. And I don't mean it as a judgememt BTW.

Indeed. Hella tired, didn't mean to sound like a racist prick my bad. But I still like old war movies and felt like it was a little insulting at times to Germans like me. Not trying to ruffle any feathers.

As a kid, I always liked good war movies. The ones from the 1950s and 1960s were great as they depicted situations, not just vilains and heroes. I particularly enjoyed movies taking place on the North African front. Between the Russian and the African battlefields, I think the Afrikakorps had it easier... "The Longest Day", "Bridge over River Kwai", "Taxi for Tobrouk", "Lawrence of Arabia", "Is Paris burning?", "Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence" and tons of others will hopefully remain unforgoten classics.

I will see "Basterds" but will probably take it with a grain of historical salt and a wide grin...

The title of the film was inspired by Italian director Enzo Castellari's 1978 movie The Inglorious Bastards, but it is not a remake of that film, being set in Nazi-occupied France during World War II, and depicting a plan to assassinate the Nazi leadership.

fan-fucking-tastic movie. Awesome. And, in no way realistic or historically accurate.

Yeah that was far from historically accurate. I love the fuck out of that movie and I saw it from a horrible seat.

Think I'm going to go see it again.
