This past weekend I bought a new car. Before I took delivery I asked if they could not place their badge on the back of the car but it's there anyway (i guess they forgot). What steps can I do to take it off?
Is the badge a sticker or a plate? If it is a plate, you can probably heat the badge up a little with a hair dryer and use dental floss behind it to saw the adhesive off.
Since it hasn't been long since they installed the badge, it will come right off.

amazing how they don't listen after you sign the lines. My best friend once bought a used IS300, asked them not to do their customary thing and drill holes in the bumper and mount a front license plate. Papers signed, walked out to the car, holes, plate and all in his bumper. All they would do is say sorry, how about a free oil change......

go back to the dealer and DEMAND they remove it. if they stall then ask to speak to the sales manager. just work your way up the chain until you get what you want.
that is how you deal with the dealer.
don't risk possably screwing up the paint on your new car because of their mistake.

Kinda reminds me of my friends dad who walked on a '06 Z06 when the dealer drilled holes for a front plate, after he explicitly told them not to. Pretty much they told him it was law, he told them to eat a dick.
go back to the "stealership"... walk softly and carry a big "schtick". Explain the situation to the sales manager. They get sales from referrals, wouldn't they want yours?
ant, take it back like the others said. my friend bought an AMG from rallye MB in roslyn and they put their badge on the car. my friend asked them to remove it.
charge them for advertising if they won't remove it. :)
Unless it was written they are all going to act stupid once you get back down to the dealer, save yourself time. Sit it out in the sun and when it gets hot peel it off clean up all the residue with WD40, wash and wax.
Do not use WD-40 I did that on my last paint job, I had badge that I wanted to remove and I couldn't get any of the foam and adhesive off so i tried WD40 and it left a halo of lighter colored paint in the exact shape of the badge. No matter how many times I waxed and polished the car it was always their.

Really? Maybe the cars I didn't didn't have clear coats and they didn't react to the WD40 because they looked perfect, I'll edit my original post.
pitching a fit is how you get things done at the dealer. those who say not to have never worked at one.
god help the dealer if i am ever stupid enough to buy a new car as i know how to get shit comp'ed on cars and get what i want. i WILL be that customer they all hate!
if they act stupid, bitch, hold your ground, bitch more.
you will get what you want........free!
