Yes you are taxed to death for your heath care (also refined product at the pumps even more than we are), and yes the oil sands have been producing significantly for the last 10-12 years. But YOU DONT THINK THE OIL COMPANIES UP THERE PAY TONS OF TAXES, too feed your health care. It was always said that oil in the 50-60 dollar a barrel would be a profitable deal for the sands, well that number is closer to 70 now much to due with the huge taxes levied at the money coming outta the sands.
