the trick is pick up any cheap oil from a gas station or whatever and just add sodium silicate to it. It's what they add to the cash for clunkers cars to preserve then while they sit. It's know as liquid glass because it makes the friction parts smooth as glass. Try it out, I guarantee you won't add anything else to that engine ever again. You really wanna add it as about a 50/50 mix.

Etexis. One major element of information that you skipped is what the oil was for:

Daily driver - Long interval maintenance
Daily driver - Short interval maintenance
                HPDE
                Racing
                Winter
                Summer
                Condition of engine

royal purple is the best oil you listed so i voted for that. however, the quality of the oil is meaningless if you dont change it at regular intervals and use a quality filter.

Are you a preferred customer buying direct from amsoil or are you buying from a local dealer? Mid $7 is actually a pretty good price. The current price list shows a retail of $8.85/quart. It's a 22.5% savings per quart at $6.86 ($1508.60) with the 55 gallon drum. Keep in mind, they sell it in a variety of gallon sizes, 1,16,30,55 and 275.
