iPhone 3G video output question

I have a Kenwood DDX 7019 with iPod cable, I can get whatever video is in the phone on the screen.

I have MLB.com At Bat 2009 app and can hear the audio by running the app, connecting the cable and putting the head unit on iPod and going to movies. The Kenwood has a video selector, usually when the iPhone's video is not seen or recognized the screen says no iPod video present but with this does not.

Any ideas?
