Picking out our new dog

So my wife and I have decided on a doberman pinscher for our new addition to the family. We found a breeder that we like and are in the process of picking out our puppy. Its going to be a 12hr drive and they wont be ready until mid October. So we will be picking by pics and what the breeder says each puppies personality is like. Def getting a male, found the one we like looks wise but we will make our decision concrete in the comming weeks as their personality begins to show. We cant wait! Anyone else on here have a doberman? We have read and heard a lot of great things about this breed.

my ex g/f and I almost got a min pin but it was a hassle clearing customs to bring to GR so we brought him back.
I dunno much about the larger pinschers, but AFAIK pinschers are smart, loyal, and surprisingly playful. And the big ones pack a hell of bite when in guard mode.
