he was the stig for that episode because Ferrari would only let him drive the FXX, they got that car on lock

actually if you research, Michael Schuhmacher is the only one who got a black fxx. so there is maybe an obvious reason for him beeing the stig

The stig is whoever top gear decides to make him for whatever episode. I think the first stig was actually a single person though.
