Don't take your film to Walmart!

years ago my younger brother used my camera and took photos of our airsoft guns laid down on the floor. I went into develop the photos and when i came back to pick them up the guy told me it would be another 10 minutes. He called the cops on me and made a whole seen, and the store treaded me like a criminal.

the photos are of guns (toys) on the ground. not in anyones hands, not pointed at anything. All the other photos were totally unrelated. it was just 4 photos of closeups on the carpet.

I had to stand around for 20 minutes with the cop and the store. Every customer looked at me like I was a murder. I had nothing to hide, so the cop followed me home and i showed them to him. He thought they were really cool and talked about how they trained with things like that for scenarios and what not.

this was at a Walgreens or something. Fuck them

Exactly. If this was a whole role of pictures of naked kids I can understand why the authorities were called.

report said 8 pix out of 144 were of the kiddies nekkid.

Then again lots of people think nudity=pornography. it does not.

Losing your children for a month over innocent photo's taken in the privacy of your own home with your family, all because they were misinterpreted and judged by individuals who do not possess the qualifications to pass such a consequential judgement call.

Wal-Mart is directly responsible as their employee was the one who pulled the trigger on this, not being trained to accurately identify actual child porn/exploitation. The Police investigator is also at fault for passing this sickening misconception of an accusation and also should be suspended for being an uneducated maverick who has now inflicted irreparable damage on this families credibility, of which no amount of restitution can recompense.

I hope they get millions, then start a public campaign educating the public what Child Porn/Exploitation really is.

yeah i hope they get millions from walmart, the kids get a good quality education and become politicians and shut wal mart down. hopefully the new tariffs on chinese imports will help do that anyway

Loosing the kids is really bad. But what about the $75K in legal fees they have already, and the fact that the the Mother lost her job for a year. They deserve full compensation for legal costs, lost income, and damages related to the fact that the kids are mentaly scarred, mom now has a void in her resume, and both parents have a criminal record (sure, charges were dropped, but the fact that they were charged will still come up on background checks for the rest of their lives, I used to do checks...).
They should get MILLIONS from Wal-Mart and the .gov, hopefully by hitting them in the wallet, it will teach them to be a little more sensable in the future.
