Yesterday I perked up because I heard that sound...you know the sound...and a signal yellow RS with duck tail (or a replica??) wailed by on the street below my office.

My wife & I attended the opening of the North Carolina Museum of Arts' new exhibit Porsche by Design: Seducing Speed . Really excellent. I took a mess of iPhone pics, but honestly the pictures displayed on the website Gallery are better.

Not in the Gallery, but outside on static display were Bob Ingram's early 1965 Porsche 911 (one of the first in the US) and a factory fresh Porsche 991 50th anniversary "911/50". Very cool stuff.


If your anywhere near Raleigh, NC...it is worth the trip to see these cars up close.

The 935/76 came 4th overall (1st in Gr.5) at Le Mans in 1976. I can only imagine what it was like trying to tame that monster for 24 hours - turbo lag and all!
