              Yeah, I spent a day there in 2011. Awesome day. They opened the whole factory for an invite-only tour. It was like Disney for adults.

                They are not technically Porsches, they're an independent manufacturer. They use unmarked Porsche chassis and their own engines and other bits, and use their own VINs. However some people bring their Porsches to be modified/converted by Ruf, so I would still consider those cars Porsches.

                  ^thats what I thought. So its like Singer, but doesnt Singer make their own bodies for the production cars? Carbon 911 iirc.

                          Singer replaces sections of the steel porsche bodies with carbon.

                            Ofcorse is RUF a Porsche....... even if they have their own vin etc etc

                            i had a factory tour in 2010 and i must say it is one of the greatest i have seen

                            amazing quality,, everything is tip top ...

                            me and my wife were treated like Royalty,, and i had said in an advantage that we were not able to be customer... unfortunately

                            Everything that Ruf makes is stunning IMO .. and well,,,,,,, not cheap
