    Torrent site suggestions...

    This is a no bullshit compiliation of TRUSTED torrent sites, please contribute ones that you know of and have used without issue. I just received a letter from my cable company and some Mark Ishikawa guy (both of whom can EAD) regarding a torrent I downloaded from TPB. The only reason I used TPB was because of the lightning fast downloads, and because Demonoid has been out of commission for about two months now.

    So, as I mentioned before, does anyone have any trusted torrent sites (public or private)?

    lately i seem to be able to find whatever i'm looking for on either mininova or isohunt.

    i must have insanely good luck because i've been using p2p of some kind for 10 years and never gotten an ISP letter about it. *knocks wood*

      I recieved a few letters from lawyers recently-- there are no sites that I "trust" right now.


      they are trying to get a bunch of money out of me.

      Its the new fad here in Germany for starving lawyers to just open up offices and hire"lawyers" just to catch people.

            Mininova doesnt really have quite the selection of TPB, but I use it regardless.
            Never received a email, but I also dont have an account.

            What are you guys using for Torrent applications?

                  uTorrent for app, I've never had a problem with TPB though.

                    Hmm, well, good to see others using TPB. I'm usually smart about the torrents (movies and music) that I download, but this letter was referring to the TeleSync garbage version of Inglorious Basterds. My local theatre stopped running the movie, and I tried to download it only to get some shitty recording that looks like it may have been recorded via cell phone. Ordinarily, with other downloads from TPB, I have had no problems; but this was probably just a poor choice of torrents if anything.

                    Anyone using a private service like Demonoid? I like Demonoid when it is running.

                      I use Vuze/Azerus as an application. The search engine on the program searches mininova, BTjunkie, and vuze. I'll also use isohunt if I have trouble finding something.

                      General rule of thumb is to read through the comments and feedback. Use your best judgement. Don't be the first one to try a file, and don't waste your time on cams.
