Unfortunately, I am stuck paying a pretty penny for Charter's 10Mb/s (8.4Mb/s) service.

You have to take into account all of the remote inbreds living in the sticks with 56k downloading old episodes of Hee Haw and moonshine recipes. All of the other countries have less than 10% of the area to cover than we do. Canada is the exception, but almost 70% percent of their population lives within 100 miles of the U.S. in the eastern half.

This is long range wi-fi. I connect to an antenna on a mountain top about 15 miles away. Not to bad considering. $75 a month.
