Gargling warm salt water, works good. Do about every 30 mins or so, it will burn/tinlge a lil bit.
Netti pot to clear up your sinuses.
Chicken soup, and lots of water/herbal tea will help you feel better.
Lastly, I once had a double of crown on the rocks, it killed it dead.Comment

Salt Water works, I generally do three different types of tea. One is a Red Raspberry herbal tea to help relax the throat, Chamomile tea with a slice of Lemon and tsp of Honey, and finally Throat Coat (Available at CVS) is fantastic. As an opera singer I use this stuff all the time. You can also pick up a pack of Ginger Chews from places like Whole Foods that will really help.
For the Cold, go get Zicam Cold/Flu Nasal Swabs, Emergen-C packets and Orange Juice. Lots of broth soups are gonna be a huge help, like Ramen and chicken noodle.Comment

Gargle with peroxide. Yea, seriously.
It's going to give a bad taste for a while, but it works.
Analogy: Salt water is like 87 octane fuel to 91 octane; 91 being peroxide.
