Apple TV users chime in.

So who here uses an Apple tv? Is yours hacked or stock? I'm looking to get one and just wanted to see how everyone liked theirs. I don't give two shits about the fact that it only does 720p or your cool media pc you built at home, really don't care.

have one, stock. used it for a while and then stopped when they came out with the divx-compatible firmware for the PS3. it got annoying having to transcode everything that i torrented, so having a player that worked with the popular format natively was a lot less of a pain in the ass.

I considered one but got a PS3 instead. HDMI, Blu-Ray and games. Most other potential apple TV users are probably in the same boat. Even my Fanboy buddy went with a Mac Mini instead and uses media software.

You can say you dont give a shit but its probably all you are going to hear since, well, the AppleTV wasnt exactly a blockbuster.

apple tv was a flop. one of the few apple flops in the last decade however. i just got the latest fortune where jobs was named ceo of the decade for his turnaround of apple in the last 10 years. Some interesting stuff in the series of articles.

You mean for the times he was actually there doing something in the last 10 years? If he should be recognized for anything, it should be for the world's largest single purchaser of Levi's and black turtlenecks.
