    The Fourth Kind

just got back from watching it and damn, one of the freakiest movies I've watched in a while. Reminded me of Fire in The Sky but this was a couple of notches up on the terror.

Anyone believe or know anyone that has experienced anything like an abduction? I actually have a personal story although it doesn't go to the extreme. My friend and I were still left wondering wtf happened that night though.

I still don't know if anything can cut me to the core like Fire in the Sky did. I saw that movie when I was like 13, and it's haunted me ever since.

yeah, Fire in The Sky was more terrifying than any other horror movie to me.

I'll try to make it short. It was around eleven something at night in October, I believe, and my girlfriend and I were sitting in the alley behind my parents house. The whole sky was overcast but it was that fall/winter kind of overcast; thin and low in the sky. Well, we are sitting there next to each other indian style and all of the sudden everything lights up extremely bright white (take note that at the time we both happened to be looking down). It was so intense that everything pretty much whited out for a second. Now this type of shit does not happen. We have all seen lighting our whole lives and this was nothing to do with lighting. So I am fairly freaked out and every single hair on my body is as straight as a laser. My eyes adjust and I turn to my girl, and with all hope that she happened to be looking forward and not down, I ask her WTF was that!!! She has this distraught and confused look on her face and before she can tell me that she was also looking down, we hear the most otherworldly noise come from right above us but right above us as in maybe a couple hundred feet. At this point, I swear I could feel a part of me had jumped up and ran into the house but my body was absolutely stuck there in terror. The closest I can come to the sound would be that of a low electric hum. Something like a microphone passing in front of a speaker but very very low in tone and that still doesn't describe it all that well. It was fairly disturbing. I remember a sense of confusion although I guess that would be normal after experiencing some weird inexplicable shit like that. Another disturbing fact was that my girl wasn't really responsive to my questions and didn't want to talk about it. Movies like these and documentaries always reminds me and I wonder what that was. I wish I had been looking forward, I have to wonder if the light was focused on us or widespread. I sometimes think that had I been looking forward I probably would have at least known this. Who knows though, with everything "whiting out".

One thing is for sure, after watching The Fourth Kind, I know I will NEVER get hypnotized!

I am going to say that paranormal activity was scripted. I thought it was all real until the end, totally ruined it for me. Fourth Kind FTW

Josh, I've never seen that movie, but someone posted a Youtube link to a clip from the movie, and I can't even watch it all the way. This stuff scares the shit out of me.

I will NEVER watch this movie

I'm going to see this on Saturday. Nothing else scares me but aliens and the unknown. I may rent "Fire in the sky" tonight.

I told everyone this was a freaky movie. If you want to do research on this then I would suggest reading zacharia stitchin's books. Its loony but thats the place to start.

I don't have as cool of a story as Maluco but I remember when a couple of friends and I were sitting on a beach back down in San Diego. We were just looking out into the ocean and suddenly saw an orange glow in the sky. But it was a glow that seemed like it had a strong presence but at the same time you weren't sure if it was there or not.

Either way the thing over a couple of minutes was coming closer to us (which was still miles away from us but it was that huge). It then seemed to stop and just go into the horizon or into the ocean.

Next morning we went on the internet to see if anyone else reported it and a lot of people saw this from san diego to catalina. This happened a bit after midnight so not everyone was really there to see it.

Id probably fall asleep since I dont believe in any of it at all. That is the problem with horror movies for me. I struggle to suspend beleif enough to get spooked.

There's been alot of sightings over bodies of water actually. I've also had one experience where I saw something strange in the sky and both my parents and my brother witnessed it along with me. It looked like a spanish conquistador's helmet although it was all luminescent/glowing. It was just floating along the sky about a few miles out from where we were standing.

Horror movies are one thing, but something that relates to what millions of people have witnessed and experienced is intriguing. And once it's set in the likes of movies like Fire in the Sky -based on a true story, The Fourth Kind - based on a true story, it's definitely not going to put most to sleep.
