    Anyone like underground hip-hop?

    Check out http://illsocietybeats.com
    **website is being updated atm

Long story short, 3 of us in my Entrepreneurship class started a record label we're beginning to promote.

Essentially its a grass-roots movement for hip-hop, a combination and representation of all genres under one label. We have 15 artists from all over, up and down the East coast, a few from the West Coast, Canada, the UK and we're working on something with a Belgian beatboxer. We're not actually profiting off of this all that much, but DJ Pres (Presto) is one of my groupmates, so the real benefit it that his music gets listened to. His roomate makes beats for Wale and has for 50 cent before so there is PLENTY of talent among the group. Check out this song off of Chris Young's album "Mood Swings"

We just got our compilation Cd pressed, came out pretty sick - they're on sale for $5 plus shipping if anyone is interested - shoot me a PM

** If you just want to support the movement - there is also an Ill Society facebook group :) **

Well known indie artists. Hardly underground.

J5, Atmosphere and Brother Ali are underground? Just because it's not on your standard rap radio station does not make it underground.
