    Moving to Minneapolis

I am relocating to the Minneapolis area before the end of the year. I am going to be working in the downtown skyway area around the Target Center. I am going to go up this weekend to look at some rental properties. I am looking at some townhomes and apartments in the Plymouth and Eden Prairie areas.

To anyone who live in the area: What are some areas I should look at and areas I should avid. Also if you know of any nice rental properties in a good area let me know.

Plymouth is nice. Wayzata or anywhere around lake minnetonka is stunning. Any where in the west metro really is pretty nice. Long Lake Maple plain are a little cheaper if you don't mind the drive.

Stay out of wayzata, that's a shithole. Plymouth is an excellent choice as it was the top rated city in america according to Money Magazine. Plymouth is going to be a slightly better commute to downtown right now but Eden prairie will have light rail to Minneapolis in a few years.

You should join the local euro club and post the question. There is always someone looking for a roommate if that's an option for you.

If you are still interested in Plymouth, I can tell you the areas to stay away from. I've lived
in the city for about 8 years now...

But the chipotle in wayzata is better than the one in plymouth.

I am looking at a couple of different places in Plymouth.
I cant remember all of them but one is Fox Forest Townhomes.

Eagan/Apple Valley/Burnsville is nice as well. On the south side, prices about the same was west suburbs, and being south makes for quick access to both downtowns.

there are lots of nice areas outside the city. dont live in the city though unless youre single and in your 20's. id be in jail if i lived in that cesspool. we all should have goals and aspirations in life so if youre just starting out plymouth may suit your needs. its typically where the less fortunate choose to reside or those who someday want to move up the chain and claim their place in wayzata. its close to wayzata so if you ever break thru that barrier and become fortunate enough to get on the waiting list you wont have far to move your futon. i believe this is the reason superduperbobbycooper chose plymouth. that and the city of plymouth is more lax on stationary project cars sitting up on blocks in the front yard next to his old washer and dryer.
