if you can't be bothered to turn your fucking head around when you're backing up, you shouldn't be driving.

    EDIT: kinda neat though

Yeah, that thing is pretty astounding. so is the price. (!!)

      Although I love my 9500ix.

edit: wait, for some reason I thought that had the radar detector stuff in there, too. eff that. Call me back when the radar guts are included.

One can only hope. Competition is good. Everyone swears by their V1, so much so that I was going to go against my test drive with the 9500i to get one. (Alex Roy uses one, how much of an endorsement is that?) I ended up buying the Escort anyways...

Then bought another (9500ix). I'll probably be a customer for life, unless someone can one-up them. I can't really think of any other features that I would want for the price. $500 is a lot of $$.

Like I was saying, everyone swears by the V1, I could care less about arrows, or how many bogeys are around, not to mention all the false alarms. If there's ONE emitter within range, I usually chill out, and it's fun to look around for the bogey anyways. And I like my radar detector to be quiet, unless it's ABSOLUTELY necessary. Being able to lock out that signal from the 7-11 that I pass by ALL THE TIME is awesome. But wait, there's more! Even though you locked out that signal at that GPS spot, if a new signal shows up (say, a Ka band source getting his donuts for the morning), you still get an alert!
            Dude, I love this thing.

Don't get me started on the database of Red light/speed cameras.

(I don't run red lights, but sometimes there's that really short yellow that you didn't anticipate on a 55 mph stretch; do I lock up the brakes, or just blow it? I can better make that decision, now)

Let me know when it blows shit drivers off the road.

A detector would make a big difference.

I put a backup camera on my grandfathers car because he physically can't turn his head around to backup.

Granted, at the same time, he shouldn't be driving...
