Happy Holidays, R3v!
2009 has been a busy year for us with a lot of changes. We moved from Cherry Point in North Carolina to California in March. No, not the state of CA, but California, Maryland. Adam transferred to NAS Patuxent River. His job supports the CH-53 helicopters, keeping them in the air. It’s not his favorite thing; he’d rather be in a shop with a bunch of Marines. OORAH!
I got a job at the local hospital, as an RN, kinda filling in the holes, except there really haven’t been too many holes, so I haven’t been working as much as I would like. But overall it hasn’t been too bad. I’ve had the opportunity to work in different areas of the hospital that I might never have done and learned a lot about taking care of different kinds of patients.
Blake has just been growing so much! He will be 18 months in December. He has 16 teeth (really!). He runs everywhere and has started climbing on everything. He is a typical little boy, he LOVES buses, trucks, and airplanes. He’s a little sponge, learning new words all the time. He says “no” for everything, and we are trying to teach him to say “yes” when appropriate.
We had the opportunity to go to Disney world this year. It was the first time for me. It was so nice, I just wish we had more time, and there was so much to do. Blake’s favorite parts were watching the birds and ducks beg for food and of course seeing the shuttle buses come and go.
