    Netbook: take me to school

My main purpose of buying a netbook is to be able to work on MS documents (mostly pages of excel sheets) when I am not in the office.

I would like to spend under $300 so I found this:

    Is this a good computer?

    suggestions and comments please.

    Thanks guys

My niece got a netbook for basic college level stuff (study work), and she hates it, said she would have rather jumped up the next step of a 150-200 bucks and got a full fledged laptop.

I would most use this for business purposes. I don't need this to be able to play fooking Call of Duty at the highest rate of speed.

Interesting... How will she help me decided what netbook is right for me?

Does she have a modded tractor? If so, please forward her status to my bro, FredK.

I love my Asus netbook... it's not my main PC, but it's got almost 8hours of battery life and with 2gigs of ram/160gb hdd and intel n280 processor it's more than powerful enough for most things (including watching top gear / f1 rips) other than 3d games. And it's small, the whole point of them.

Jean, how much did you pay for your Asus book? I found those on the Best Buy website.

It was about $350 + extra 1gb of ram and tax . They have many different versions, some are very thin but have only 2-3hours of battery life and a slightly thicker ones with longer battery life.

Likewise, if her interests lie in blowout haircuts, weightlifting, and lip balm, please ask her to friend MikeK on FB.

No modded tractor. That is an example of a permanent Cali Girl. She is more guidoworthy, she does the tightlipped thing in most of her pictures...

Um... noob, you derailed the thread yourself by asking for pictures of Farbin Koptimators niece.
