You must be reading week old papers - Gallop publishes a daily poll, one of the items is the presidents approval rating, yesterday it was at 47%. Your graph was posted yesterday & was out of date at least a week - using out of date statistics is one of the more popular ways to manipulate the numbers so they don't point at Obamba's results - like "the previous administration" comment he over uses. Your a great example of the pot calling the kettle black...................

He's more worldly than G.W. Bush, or George Bush I, that's for sure. Clinton seemed pretty wise in the ways of the world, however.Leave a comment:

I've read the Satanic bible, but I'm not a Satanist.
I've had blunts cock in my mouth, but I'm not gay.
I want to drive a Japanese car, but I wont.
Sometimes you gotta experience shit to understand it, then develop your own feelings. It sounds like Obama, regardless of how comfortable we are with socialism or how far he is taking it, is more educated about the world than any other president we've ever had.Leave a comment:

I know how statistics work. I was stating that the Gallup poll is more accurate. That is all.Wow, if you could actually read a graph, you could see the +- 3% on the Rassmussen poll overlaps with the Gallup poll quite well for the recent days. The two only significantly differ on the early months of 2009. Do you not know how polling and statistics work?

The Gallup Daily poll reports his approval rating as of 12/7 to be 50%. This means that 1/2 of Americans approve of the job he's doing. The rest of you, just keep doing what you do.....

Gallup tracked daily the percentage of Americans who approved or disapproved of the job Barack Obama was doing as president. Daily results were based on telephone interviews with approximately 1,500 national adults; Margin of error is ±3 percentage points.

Yes, and it is still more accurate. Where did I say that I was trying to prove that Obama's approval rating hasn't slipped? I never said that. Everyone knows it has. What I said is that the Gallup poll (showing 50% approval rating) is more accurate than the Rasmussen poll (showing <50% approval rating). If people are going to post on here on here about politics pretending like they know even a sliver of what they're talking about, I would appreciate, at the least, the use of accurate and reliable sources. The poll YOU posted shows the approval rate at 68% in late January, and 50% as of yesterday. Which is an 18% decline in the same amount of time. 18 is more than both 17 and 16, as long as we're insulting one another's intelligence, so the poll you posted shows a larger decline than the one he did.Leave a comment:

Yep! We've never been duped by "conservatives".
Nice case of selective amnesia you fellas have going on here.
They're all fucking policians. Say one thing, but do what's politically expedient. If the Repubs were still in power, are you going to say they would not have continued to bail out their cronies on Wall Street? They started the fucking thing against my strident protests to my governor-yep Palin, who was all for it, until she didn't make to the White House.
And this is horse shit:
When he appointed Cass Sunstein as regulatory czar and he believes in "Explicit Consent", harvesting human organs with out family consent, and to allow animals to be represented in court, while banning all hunting,
people said it didn't matter.
The dumbass that created that little diatribe doesn't even know what the fuck Explicit Consent IS!.
I'll explain it:
"Currently, unless a patient has explicitly chosen to be an organ donor, either on his driver’s license or with a donor card, the doctors assume that the person did not want to donate and therefore do not harvest his organs. Thaler and Sunstein called this “explicit consent.”
They argued that this could be remedied if government turned the law around and assumed that, unless people explicitly choose not to, then they want to donate their organs – a doctrine they call “presumed consent.”
“Presumed consent preserves freedom of choice, but it is different from explicit consent because it shifts the default rule. Under this policy, all citizens would be presumed to be consenting donors, but they would have the opportunity to register their unwillingness to donate,” they explained.
Bottom line:
Don't want to donate your organs? Just fucking say so! That's it! That's all!
I have no love for Obama, but I absolutely hate brainless kneejerk dumbasses like the type that polarize every thing they see.
EDIT: I should address the other point about Sunstein: the supposed hunting ban. In his own words:
Should animals be hunted and killed simply because people enjoy hunting and killing them? The issue might be different if hunting and killing could be justified as having important functions, such as control of populations or protection of human beings against animal violence.
I really don't care about animals as long as people aren't being just plain cruel, but what he actually said is far from a total hunting ban. And he has no say on the matter as the Office of Management and Budget, which will oversee Sunstein's office, isn't really the sort of place to be concerned with animal-rights policy.
And the part about animals suing? Economics will keep that from ever happening. Besides, Sunstein would not have the position to ever make that happen.
Again, I'm no supporter of Sunstein. He doesn't even qualify as a "Czar" really, but the OP makes it sound like he will have powers far beyond what the regulatory position entails. More stupidity designed to scare the guns'n'god crowd.Last edited by mar1t1me; 12-09-2009, 09:04 AM.Leave a comment:

He originally posted the poll saying "it's a record" referring to the amount the approval rating had gone down in a very short amount of time. That is, from January '09 to December '09 the approval rating had gone from 65% to around 48-49%. If we do some simple math, that's around 16 or 17% in 11 months.

Oh, and to the OP......Obama has also dedicated an astronomical amount of time to a multitude of public service projects, and he attended Harvard Law School where he was president of the Harvard Law Review (not by any means a "socialist" or "communist" organization).Leave a comment:

It's my special way of telling you that you're a waste of life. Seriously, you receive a chain email, believe and parrot it blindly while claiming that the liberals have all been brainwashed and duped, and challenge me to prove you wrong? Do you see anything wrong with that?
I'd like you to explain to me what you think this item means to you, and what viewpoints it represents, in the context of the chain email you copy-pasted in here.

Damn dude. YOU'RE ON FIRE TODAY!
