    HIDs for motorcycles? (Hayabusa)

I'm wanting to get a close buddy of mine some HIDs for his Hayabusa for a Christmas present. Now i know the HID kits for cars are pretty much universal, and have alot of excess wire. But do they make any for motorcycles that is a direct plug in and is compact to fit in the bike? Any help would be appreciated, as to if they do make some and where to get them. Thanks..

you want a slim kit. They sell motorcycle kits but they are just a single instead of the 2. You are better off getting him a car set because they are cheaper and then he has a spare ;)

Cool thanks. Just was looking around on their site. I'll call them up Monday and order a set.

Are their headlights projector style? If not nobody should feel bad if he gets run off the road.

I think blinding lights are forgivable on motorcycles in the same fashion as loud exhaust. Anything that makes you more noticeable is a good thing. Plus, it's not like he's going to be behind anyone for very long. ;)

What about blinding oncoming traffic? A far as I know, it is ilegal to retrofit HIDs and Xenons to cars that where not initially equipped with them as they don't have any adaptive mechanism to compensate for changes of angle...
Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.

There's a lot more to it than just self leveling (plenty of cars with HIDs do not have self leveling headlights), but yeah. It's not legal.

I retrofitted HIDs in my last car and it was fine, but I also used OEM hardware and bixenon projectors out of an Acura TL. It looked factory so nobody gave me shit (nobody even noticed them actually).

? i had those in my e30 and had no problems.

But anyway i'm sure the low beam in the bike is a projector.

Ive had the 35w ddm slim kits for 3years on my e30 and scion and they have never gone out. plus their warranty can't be beat and they're local for me as well.

The only thing that sucks about DDM tuning is there customer service and shipping, otherwise the kit is amazing.
