    iTunes isnt detecting my iPhone

    ok, I got an iphone today, and have installed the latest version of itunes on my laptop, I connect my phone to the computer. itunes isnt detecting my phone. It isnt showing up under the "devices" section on itunes. all i want to do is transfer one ring tone to the phone, how do i do it?

    YES!!! my 32bit XP desktop is now recognizing my iPhone. However my 64bit Vista laptop is a peice of shit and still wont. fucking vista.....

          yes, I got 64bit, but when I plug in it wont detect the device. But if I plug into my 32bit xp tower, it it popped right up in the devices section of itunes. I think it is vista that is the problem.
