A little history can easily show that christian nations have done way worst in the name of the lord. Do you know the Great Inquistion? And how do you think this continent was conquered? How many millions of aboriginals were butchered in the name of God.

In general, christian nations saw all other non-christian nations as inferior and only good to be put in slavery, have their resources stolen, and population dessimated (after all, those people have no soul and shall be treated like animals). This was true a millenum ago, a few centuries back, and even nowadays.

Some religions moved past this way of thinking.

          Some didn't.

Yeah that shit is fucked up too, man. Puts the Catholic church in a bad light. That crap needs to be dealt with just like the radical Muslims need to be dealt with. Well with different methods, obviously.

The problem is people who use the idea that there doing God's work to justify there own intentions and doings. If more people followed the bible and not bits and pieces to make it work for there wants and ideas the world would not be as horrible a place as it is in some areas. I pity muslims because there religon is so empty.

The United States is a nation primarily composed of people who consider themselves to be christians and we have capitol punishment.

I'm not arguing against capitol punishment, just pointing out a conflict with some christian beliefs.

Which part? The "if your eye offends you pluck it out" part? Or how about the part where you aren't supposed to eat shellfish or mix fabrics? Or how about the love, forgiveness and acceptance that Jesus preached?

                      I like this link.

This is ignorance talking. Tell me, O scholar, where this quote comes from:

"O Adam! Dwell thou and thy wife in the Garden; And eat of the bountiful things therein as (where and when) ye will; but approach not this tree, or ye run into harm and transgression."

                      Or this one:
Then did Satan make them slip from the (Garden) and get them out of the state (of felicity) in which they had been. We said: "Get ye down, all (ye people), with enmity between yourselves, on earth will be your dwelling-place and your means of livelihood - for a time."
                      Or this one:
The life of this world is alluring to those who reject faith, and they scoff at those who believe. But the righteous will be above them on the Day of Resurrection; For God bestows His abundance without measure on whom He will.
                      Or even this one:
"We believe In God, and the revelation given to us, and to Abraham, Isma'il [Ishmael], Isaac Jacob, and the Tribes, and that given to Moses and Jesus, and that given to (all) Prophets from their Lord: We make no difference between one and another of them: And we bow to God in surrender."
Sound familiar? Sounds Biblically Christian? It's from the Koran, man.

There are lots more absolute parallels between the Koran and the Bible. It's almost as though they are two versions of the same manuscript.

Which is to say, it's completely idiotic to assume other religions are fucked up and promote death and evil (even though I think religion itself is bad) until you know more about them. Your average moderate Muslim is no more a terrorist than the average moderate Christian is.

Sorry to post more, but bear with me. Violent radical Islamists are actually going against Islamic rules, which is why non-radical Muslims disapprove.

Islamic rules for battle from the Koran:

Do not betray or misappropriate any part of the booty; do not practice treachery or mutilation. Do not kill a young child, an old man, or a woman. Do not uproot or burn palms or cut down fruitful trees. Do not slaughter a sheep or a cow or a camel, except for food. You will meet people who have set themselves apart in hermitages; leave them to accomplish the purpose for which they have done this. You will come upon people who will bring you dishes with various kinds of foods. If you partake of them, pronounce God's name over what you eat. You will meet people who have shaved the crown of their heads, leaving a band of hair around it (monks). Go in Gods name, and may God protect you from sword and pestilence.
Interesting.....once again, it's the radicals that fuck everything up.
