Still snowing like hell. 10+ on the ground, now we're in the heaviest part of the storm. Getting ready to head outside and start digging out the E30s. Pics to come.....

Hey if its fair, my thermostat gets stuck and I over heat like a fucker. This started earlier this week and with finals I hadn't had time to replace it even though a Wahler came in from Carquest. Can't put much strain on the ole M20 anyway.

Looks like you won't be doing any plowing today you cheap Volvo-lip rocking bastard.

whooooop, "state of emergency" in Kentucky! and I have maybe a dusting outside. Eastern half of the state is getting hammered on, the rest of us are getting some rain/snow mix. 1ft+ in some counties and I have almost zero snow on my lawn. Kentucky, the land of bipolar weather.

edit- didn't stop us from going 11-0 and being one shy of 2k wins.

Just open the doors to the halls of congress, all the hot air will melt it all off in about 1/2 hour. But unfortunately, you would be trading 2 feet of snow for 3 feet of bull shit.

I am up in Williamsport PA, and there is just a dusting. Was a fine dusting as I was heading out to work in the am, when I got back to the motel it was just enough to cover the parking lot.

Hope it dose not get too bad along the 80 corridor, as I am going home for xmass and leaving about 4am

The M3 ran out of ground clearance around, oh, 10AM, when I high centered it on a 15" snow drift. (Right after taking this picture...)

The iX, on the other hand, has been going strong all day. I popped off the is lip and have been going out every few hours to plow the alley with the valence.

    2PM or so:

    5PM or so:

Only one of these cars has moved today:

Didn't take any pics when I went out at 8, but the snow is getting seriously deep out there. The "plowed" section is now about 5-8" shallower than everywhere else. As of 5:15, the total for DC was 16" and we've gotten quite a bit more snow since. (I had to clean 4-5" off the car at 8...)

It's been years since we had snow like this. It'll be interesting to see how badly the city is crippled and for how long.

We've got about 18" so far and the storm has not quit. Fortunately it started off nice and dry with the fluffy, dusty stuff that is really easy to dust off. Plenty of that left alone means the heavier stuff that came through mid-day will be very easy to get rid of come tomorrow. It will come away in nice blocks that will be very easy to manage. Some neighbors have not been so smart... as if there was somewhere they had to be at all today.

Nope, I'll wait it out. It will take some effort tomorrow, but it will only take one pass instead of four or five like I've seen some neighbors clamoring to do. I've got clear paths to a tarp I laid over a section of grass so I can peel it back and let the dogs have a nice dry patch to do their business. 'Not my first time through this stuff... ;)
