What to do with Briefcase?

So I have this old black briefcase/case thing that used to be my grandfather's. It's in pretty rough shape and not really useful in it's current condition, so I was thinking about turning it into something cool, but I can't figure out what. My first thought was a portable speaker box with built in amp and everything, but each half of the case is only 2" deep and it would be pretty hard to mount everything inside in a nice, neat way.

Anyone else have any other ideas?

Cassette-tape case?

I just got a briefcase lined with cassette holders from my dad's garage (I remember it being in our '84 GTi), now I'm trying to fill it with the best worst hits of the 80s...

I'm thinking I'm going to combine my idea of a speaker box with a computer and make a portable multi-media computer. Have a small LCD mounted in one side with a keyboard and roller ball mouse mounted in the other. Then use NXT flat panel speakers to save space and include an amp and equalizer as well.

I want to go as cheap as possible, so I'm going to try and find as much of the stuff as I can used on Craig's list, eBay, Goodwill, etc. Should be a fun build.
