The Hallertau Imperial Pilsner is ridiculous. It is the best Sam Adams product in my opinion. It should be back this spring and I will buy enough beer to make a beer fort out of it.

They made a royal Hallertau IPA that was fucking amazing.

Sam Adams isn't a beer snob beer. That doesn't mean it's not a craft beer. Also quantity does not denote qualification as generic beer. It has a distinct taste. That means it's not generic.

There are plenty of beers I'll drink before Sam Adams, but that doesn't mean it's not a good beer, nor does it mean that they aren't a craft brewer.

If you can find the Hallertau IPA, get it. It's fucking amazing.

Oh and proof that Guinness is good beer. It fueled my engine build.

Michelob also makes good craft beers. There is nothing wrong with a large scale brewery. If you think the beer tastes good, but you don't like the image, then you're confused.

I really don't care, taste in beer is a matter of opinion, but hating something because it's marketed brilliantly well is stupid. Sam Adams is a company that you should look to emulate if you want to be successful in the Beer business. They did every single thing right.

No I said the reason(s) why they suck is because they put so much effort into promoting they are a craft beer and they arent and the taste is little to be desired. Sam Adams makes it on the generic list on many specialty pubs in Massachusetts. In fact a lot of good bear and snob beer places around here dont even carry it. Trying to think if Sunset Grill and Tap has it... I know the Moan and Dove and Dirty Truth dont. How many craft brewers have the mula to design and produce their own glass for their beer? Thats bullshit.

Fuck Sam Adams. There is hundreds of better beers in Massachusetts, many locally made (there is 4 or 5 local brew pubs within 30 mins of me, not to mention Allagash and other in the region) Ill take over a Sam.

Anybody who can turn a craft brewery into the largest craft brewery in the Nation is good. Boston Lager is a good beer. They also have a number of good seasonal beers and they make pretty impressive craft beers too. They made a royal Hallertau IPA that was fucking amazing.
