was the resort an all inclusive deal?? i never stay at those places because of the fact the food is a compromise always it seems. its like cruise food. its a good deal if you drink i guess.

For me the nice thing about all inclusive, other than the free drinks, is that if you run out of money you still have a place to sleep, and food.
other than that i think i paid about $730 for 9 days all inclusive with flight and everything.
But I did get the chance to go out for dinner a couple times a week.
It was also nice cause our Resort had private restaurants scattered about so you just had to make reservations, and your meal was included, and those were actually very good

Since I saw this yesterday I kept wondering how you got to go to Cuba, with there being a tourism ban and on. Then I came back and checked: you're Canadian. Unless I'm wrong isn't the ban against going there still enforced to us Americans?

They are fake, trust me. I bought the same ones back in September (stayed at Villa Cuba in Varadero). The only genuine Esplendidos come from the government owned stores. They still taste great and most people can't tell the difference though, good for handing out when hosting a party.

                        Keep it slideways!!

I go to Cuba every other year being that I have family there. The law states that you can visit as much as you like as long as your Cuban or Cuban-American. Theres also a loop hole that you can go for religulous reasons but you have to show prof of it. Besides that you can always do what I did before this law and go to Jamaica then fly to Cuba from there.
These pictures only show the tourist version of Cuba. The real Cuba is not so prety but theres lots of love.

You are allowed to go to Cuba as a American. But the "Trading with the Enemy" act makes it illegal to spend any money there. So you cant do anything legally. There are also no direct flights out of the U.S. to Cuba. And no American travel agency can help you get there, Legally.

So what you do is fly to Mexico or Canada. Then book your flight and hotel stay through one of the travel agency's there. Fly to Cuba, And they don't stamp your U.S. passport. Like you were never there. Pretty simple. And people do it all the time, I am just a waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles. lol
