DTM Fiber Werkz should apologize, and OP should be happy with that.
Trying to squeeze money out of every insignificant situation is pathetic, altough I agree that DTMFW was doing the wrong thing here.

from legal stance, if they apologize, they're admitting to doing something wrong. If you want them to apologize for crummy parts, don't buy from them. They'll go out of business that way.

What should I do if I have been accused of internet copyright infringement?

The first thing you should do is make every effort to remove the copied materials from the web. Next, if it is possible, you should communicate with the person or organization whose materials you copied (or their representative) in order to come to understand their expectations. If you are unable to come to an agreement, you should seek legal advice because the copyright owner may pursue legal action.
        OK, fine.

Now- pursue the legal action and STFU around here for a while, m-kay?

If you have an issue wouldn't it make more sense to not read this thread or bump it? I'm not posting about it anywhere outside this thread, in their threads, or even talking bad about about them. I stated the situation, my rights, and debate and correct those that aren't familiar with copyright law or proper business ethics.

I explicitly stated in the original post this thread is to inform other photographers that their work is being infringed upon by this company. Not every one of them is going to be visiting their website to notice their pics being illegally used. If you don't have experience with copyright issues, don't have an advertising or any creative arts background, and if you're not an IP attorney then the chances are you have nothing remotely intelligent to say in this thread.

I'm not asking for everyone or even anyone to agree with me, what's the fun in that? We're all here for the same reason, because we love our cars...just at least show some bit of intelligence.

I see no Eurostop/DTMFW parts either. I thought I knew the photographer that took them, as he did too, until he discovered the EXIF data on the e46 to be a different from his camera. I've recognized the photographers of at least 3 photos stolen on various websites the past year...even just from small crops of the original.

The silver 2002 was taken from photobucket, the file name wasn't changed and it was uploaded 2 months before the new DTMfiberwerkz website. Not to mention there are two more photos of that car that aren't on DTMFW. http://www.flickr.com/photos/32399794@N02/3837523986/

The E36 GTR Race Style Widebody Kit on DTMFW is ironically the same photos found on Octane Motorsports.

The list goes on and on: the entire website, other than a couple of their own personal cars, was made from stolen photos.
Business ethics was never Euro Stop's strong suit. There are a few threads on that subject.

Speedminded is 100% within his right and I'm with Lee as well.

Speedminded would of probably been fair priced and happy to be of help if they had approched him early on to use his work and possibly help with ALL the pics on their website. Of course to save a buck it may wind up costing them the family jewels.

Last, I'm still surprised no one has approached the copyright infringements on the parts they make. I mean aren't they all knock offs as well? No?

I created a 15" turd this morning, so I'm pretty artistic actually. I'd share a picture of it, but one of you sphincter-spelunkers would pirate it for your own viewing pleasure.

You say you're not posting about it anywhere outside this thread- but I swear I've seen the same "woe is me" thread on BFC for one, and it's probably been posted elsewhere.

              Here you go: http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum....php?t=1369195

Come back and bump this thread in a couple of months, I'm willing to bet that NOTHING has come of your attempts to recoup compensation from Eurostopsz or whatever the hell their name is.

Like I said before- let us know how this works out for you.

Again, your intelligence is up to par with a plastic thermostat housing. When someone says STFU they're tired of hearing about it wouldn't that imply it's been posted all over THIS forum? As in more than one time in more than one sub-forum? I have indeed posted this on just about any BMW forum they are a supporting vendor for, I have not spammed any forum, made more than one thread about it anywhere, or even posted in their own threads.

Yep! Nothing better to do but wait for the registration and attorney paperwork and hope the owners of the other pics finds it as well so they can rail them too. Maybe go pick up the rest of the parts for the Porsche brake kit I designed or drive 12 hours to get the new e30 m3. Maybe one or two people will learn about copyright law at the same time. Who knows? Nice sig though! lol!

I guess there are two ways to deal with a problem. Shovel it under the rug, hoping it will disapear (what DTM-whatever did), or face the crisis and man-up by taking responsibility, and at least apologizing. The crappy vendor decided that not even responding would be the proper way. Speedmind chose a more manly way to get the vendor's attention. It is not slendering as long as the facts are true.

When the story will be plastered all over the net, and that DTM-whatever will also be known for stealing intellectual property from BMW owners, then perhaps they can start thinking it was not the appropriate manner.

I have absolutely nothing against Ary. Nonetheless, I hate thieves.

Vlad took pictures of his gorgious red M3 and his no-less gorgious girlfriend to see the picture being printed and sold on eBay without giving any form of consent. Is that okay for you too?

You are one fucked up individual. If you pursue what you state you're going to do, It seems like you're going to ruin this guys life. He's out there trying to make new parts for our old cars and you're here crying over one little picture that he took from you. Sure he took it without permission, and what he did was illegal, but you're approach of trying to fuck him over by everything he's worth is very immature. I say you should just drop the whole thing and just ask for an apology. Or be a big boy and let him use the picture. It's just a fucking picture! C'mon, don't ruin this guys business. I'm sure you would hate it if you made a mistake like that, and someone out of no where tries to take everything away from you.

This is just my mere opinion, so do what you want to do. But please, don't fuck the guy's life over.

EDIT: This is just my opinion, so don't take things to heart.

Fuck you, Speedminded! You're so inconsiderate. This poor guy is just trying to make a living making shit parts for our old cars!!

See how stupid that looks if you incorporate all the facts. There's nothing more to say that hasn't been said already. Yes, they were wrong, you asked them to desist, which they did. If you really want to sue, go ahead and do it already. You are not going to win your case in forums. Personally, I think your making a much ado about nothing, esp since they stopped hosting it regardless of the finer legal points. I'm all for protecting intellectual property but common sense needs to prevail too. This country is already too litigious as it is. Oh, and insulting those who happen to not agree with your point of view is really mature too.
