    Where are the cheap laptops?

I need a laptop, and I know there are a couple of good ones for good prices after the holidays. Anyone know of any good deals?

if you are interested in a nice laptop (not netbook) check out the ASUS selection at your local BB... for under $800 you can pick up a real nice machine.

Watch tigerdirect and newegg for daily deals. Couple months ago I got a new in box Gateway laptop. Dual Core. 4gb RAM. nVidia mobile card(I think 256mb dedicated and some more 'shared'). It is a 15" Widescreen. Blu-Ray/DVD-RW drive. HDMI output.

It was 499.99 with 1 dollar shipping on tiger direct. Love it!

if you have to come to r3v to find out, you've already missed them... My pops picked up two Toshiba L455 for $299ea at BB recently. They are currently priced at 349.

Ebay does good sometimes too. just bought myself an HP TouchSmart Tx2z-1000 for $740 shipped from ebay about 2 months ago. still offering good deals on them too.

touchscreen tablet with a wacom stylus.
fits inside our gloveboxes perfectly too.

This. I'm on both lists and I'm shocked how good some of the deals are. Bought my current Asus from Newegg on a daily deal.
