    The Official Model Thread

As the title says. What kind of models are you into? Cars, planes, ships, Gundams, whatever floats your boat. R/C's are welcome as well.

Here is what I have been building. It's not quite finished yet but I'll post it anyway. It is known as the ZGMF-X02A Strike Freedom.

I have an R/C as well that I'll have to post another time.

I used to build car models all the fucking time. Very rarely see the supplies in stores anymore, too bad really. As I'd like to pick it up again now that I'm older and would do a better job.

Guess kids these days can't handle doing stuff with their hands.

thats part of it. I think its the hassle of buying the glue and the paints, they are all locked up and you have to have a parent buy them for you if you are under 18. As you might sniff the glue and paint to get high or vandalize shit.

I hate what has happend to toys and what not. Used to be when I was a kid there was nearly a entire Isle devoted to just plastic models of all types and the paints of every color and type.

Used to be heavily involved in RC gliders, competed in slope racing ( F3F ) internationally. Held the American record for a bit and was only a fraction off the world record at that time ( I think I was third fastest in the world ). This is me launching my friends Acacia in Portugal for the 2000 worlds, I had fastest time for the whole week.

                Don't do much any more.

But that's what it's all about nowadays. Not building monster 30 ft high forts in trees from the maosoic era, or building models, or fucking with your friends sister.

It's about getting high now, see who can get laid before they turn 5, vandalizing shit, being G, all that jazz. Fuck kids these days.
