I was very tempted to. I guess the cop could sense that and two more squad cars had showed up by the time it was over.Leave a comment:

Po-po has been all over, they're just collecting "involuntary road tax" trying to balance the state budget, I've never seen as many cops ticketing as I have recently!Leave a comment:

I can't remember the last time I was in a new car that had an ashtray. They just don't put them in anymore, and if they do it's only with some type of smokers package that they make you pay out the ass for.Out here ashing on the ground is a major no-no. Makes sense when you see how many devastating bushfires happen because of people A) ashing on the ground and B) flicking butts out the window.
A good side effect of not dying in a raging inferno is also that our bush, roads, beaches and cities are cleaner thanks to people not being fucking untidy waffleswaffleswaffleswaffless and actually using the goddamn ashtray the car makers put in the car in the first place.
This. I really don't see how an officer could claim to spot that, and what the hell are you supposed to do if you are smoking in public? Ash in your hand?Leave a comment:

Oh, and on the ticket the conditions written were "daylight", it was 11PM and it fails to mention that it was wet. Hopefully if I decide to fight it I can somehow use that to help my case.Leave a comment:

Another situation where the cop could have made an easy judgment call, gotta bring in the money though.Leave a comment:

I dont doubt he saw one or two sparks come off with it, but I for the price I may as well have thrown the lit butt onto a pile of grass in the dead of summer. The bay area is pretty bad though, but I would rather be hassled for ashing out the window than pulled over every 5 min to get spec'd for illegal modifications or sound violation (IE San Diego). I guess this is another reason to quit.Leave a comment:

Ouch...I was driving through Berkley and my friend commented on the $2xx fine posted for violating a pedestrians right of way, thought it was a deal, might as well hit 2 or 3 while you were at it :pimp: although I'm sure the fine was for entering a crosswalk with liberals in it or something, the actual wack would cost more.
Thinking of the cig, conditions the officer was being an ass it sounds, but in the right conditions I can see where accidentley knocking the cherry off could present an issue...probably not in the rain.Leave a comment:

Yes very very true, I live in fire country as well. But what I am getting at is cops to pull this shit if they see the FIRE not just ash.
and no there is nothing wrong with the ash try other than you cant buy a new car with one in any more.

Dead easy on the Internet when everyone is thinking about it. However, there are retards in the real world who would take your breath away and would somehow fuck it up.
What's wrong with ashing inside the car's ashtray, or a bottle with a bit of water in the bottom, FFS?Leave a comment:

How is that hard,
FIRE is orange and goes all over the place when gravity pulls it to the ground. NO fire = No butt = no broken law.
See not hard at all.
