I don't shave my legs, I trim them. I use the beard trimmer on the waist down. (Actually a body trimmer, the beard trimmer is used for the beard and neck only)
I don't think its faggity to shave your legs unless you act douchey or faggity.1985 BMW 325e

Yes. Only for saving the hair to make dog toys for the humane society.
Every day I wake up we drink a lot of coffee and watch the CNN
Every day I wake up to a bowl of clover honey and let the locusts fly in.
Lobsterbacks attack the town again
Wrap all my things in aluminum
Beams of darkness streak across the sky
Pink rays from the ancient satellite
Every time I look out my window same three dogs looking back at me.
Every time I open my windows cranes fly in to terrorize me.

I cycle a hell of a lot, so I do, but mainly for these reasons:
1. Road Rash: less painful when sliding on pavement during a crash
2. Aerodynamics: less wind resistance
3. Sanitation: hairs hold dirt and debris that can get into wounds; hairs also make changing bandages more difficult
4. Massage: easier for a masseuse to work muscles
5. Aesthetics: more muscle definition, smoother and faster look

Used a trimmer and left probably 1cm I'm guessing on there.
I would never shave due to the fact of growing thicker, possible ingrown and more and shit.
So, I trimmed them using some beard/face trimmer thing.
I've been out of highschool for almost a year now and stopped doing this since I'm not going to play for college anytime soon. I noticed they grew back a little curly, lol? This may be because of my pants rubbing on it, but I'm not sure. I also wear shorts probably three times a month, so I never really cared for the sleek look bananza thing, but I do understand what you guys mean when you mention it, but it wouldn't apply to me because I wear jeans 95% of the time. Though I do have sculpted calves from 13+ years of soccer + bmxing
tl;dr : Trim preferred than shaving.
