Honestly, I probably wouldn't. I can't even imagine how deep the HOA-type bullshit is in a development like that. Can't park multiple cars in your driveway, can't leave your hose unrolled, can't have a basketball hoop, have to stack your firewood a certain way, etc. Fuck that noise. I'd much rather have a modestly-sized home with a shop out back big enough for a lift, in a non-sardine-packed development where I can do what I want.
Garage Journal folks and maybe a few others ahve seen this

huge +1. As cool as that is, I'm a hermit when it comes to working on mah cars. A nice garage with about 3-4 acres in Northern New Hampshire would do quite nicely.Honestly, I probably wouldn't. The bad with being in the middle of no where is Fuel for heat has to be trucked in. You'll most likely need a well and utilities can be pricey.
The bad about a place like that is if someone else had a fire you might loose all your prized toys.
Seriously?Comment

Yes, seriously.
I understand if someone would want to use a different name hanging out on a kiddie porn forum or something, but other than that- what's the point?
It cracks me up to see these guys (mostly on BFC, etc) who start out with usernames like "badass84318i" or similar, then beg the mods to change their name when Daddy buys them an E36M3- so they change it to "badassE36M3"..............

Lol, the whole time I was reading that I assumed it was also a racetrack facility.
that would be badass.

Land is expensive in certain parts of the country as they are not making anymore of it. So if you like where you live and there is no free land or requires a minimum plot size this serves as an alternative.
There have been some cool style garages on that site so i might ask to go that route with somebody's pre-existing plans.Comment

I really don't see the appeal to be honest. Nobody with enough money to have a bunch of nice cars is going to get a garage in that place.Comment

if i had money for super cars,id get like 2000 acres. build a really nice garage on it. then build a 20mile long, 60 degree banked concrete oval. then get in a porsche 962 and fly around it like tits on crack. but building such a track would cost a fortune, so id settle with just the garage.Comment

In Muskegon I believe that till the EPA comes along. Places like these are great for big city locations like Boston, NYC region, DC, Atlanta. Places where you'd rather not commute 70-? out of the city to hang out with your garage buddies.if i had money for super cars,id get like 2000 acres. build a really nice garage on it. then build a 20mile long, 60 degree banked concrete oval. then get in a porsche 962 and fly around it like tits on crack. but building such a track would cost a fortune, so id settle with just the garage.
Much like owning a light airplane and hanging out in your Hanger.Comment
