Soccer. I play anywhere from the local college fields or basketball courts to an alley between a trailer park and the backside of a TJ Maxx at 11 at night with the only light being a dim spotlight on the back of the building. My day feels empty without it. It's the one thing that takes priority over my cars. I'll be playing this fall at UNOH too. -
Played a lot of soccer growing up, like someone else said, should have stayed with it. Then when i first moved to america, in 8th grade i played football, and boy was i total shit. I knew literately nothing about the sport (as does any typical icelander)
I want to get back to soccer, or maybe start ultimate Frisbee. During the winters i ski a fuckload, i <3 my twin tips. Just bought a bike today and im going to try to start biking daily.Leave a comment:

Trying to get back into track and field. I ran for about 7 years, until I moved to cali, at which point I picked up smoking. Being back in washington has helped me get back out there, but my lungs are just not what they used to be. Mid 48 in the open 400m, 37.7 in the 300 hurdles. I was like a bat outta hell. Now I'm just as slow as those posers. I ran the st. Pattys day dash, and ran a solid 20 min in that race, so I feel good about the shape I'm in now!Leave a comment:

Time to bump this thread.
Since school got out ... okay more like since July 1st, I've been erging almost every single day (rowing machine).
On Odd days, I hit the erg, do my lifting, and abs circuit.
On Even days, I try to avg. 20 miles on the bike.
Last summer I was cycling like a mofo, doing a bunch of century rides and some crit, but this summer, I hit the wall in regards to cycling. Fuckin sucks.
It's going to be my first season on a Collegiate Varsity Team, coming up in the fall - and I'm shooting high.Leave a comment:

Soccer growing up..
Played some indoor recently, just not the same. Plus, I kept getting Red carded for slide tackling and "standing up" other players when going for the ball.
Soccer should = mud! :)
Now I do mostly running since my wife is a marathon runner (I hate running), skiing, and some cycling.Leave a comment:

Sprinted in high school. We had to condition long distances but I hated it. First leg of 4x1, 200 and the 400 (least fav event). The longest timed I ever ran (besides amateur 5ks and such) was a 4:16 mile and I felt like a corpse after it. Unfortunately at 30 trying to break 5 would probably kill me. My parents run marathons and I feel I need to do one before my body lets go but I dont really have the time (or the desire) for the training. I should have done it back in college when I actually had time to blow.
Also played corner for a bit but was never really that good. Competitive but not scholarship material.
The best sport I had was archery, at one time as a junior I was 11th in the nation and was running alternate for world teams. The classification I shot though wasn't allowed in the Olympics. I hung it up though as to really be good at anything you need to spend a lot of time on it and I work to damned much.
Everything else I do for conditioning or fun. Bike, climb, etc. Nothing competitive though.Leave a comment:
