Been playing soccer since I can remember, played high school varsity and travel, senior year team was ranked #2 in the country unfortunately ref fucked us over in state semi-finals.
Indoor soccer is a drug, I could play that shit all day every day same goes to outdoor.
Now I enjoy volleyball, but nothing beats soccer in my opinion.
Oh and e30's :)

Used to play futball back in high school, played on a team outside of high school as well. After a partially torn ligament I couldn't play for months AND I had Osgood-Schlatter disease which prevented me from doing anything physical. But that was years ago, now I just play occasionally with friends.

My kids and I invented a sport that to my knowledge is only played in my living room: "Beach Ball Soccer Volleyball." You take all the pictures off the wall, move all the knick-knacks and anything else breakable, and basically damage-proof your downstairs. Then you set up a line of suitcases across the living room floor, agree to out-of-bounds limits, inflate your 99 cent beach ball, and commence play, which goes as follows:
The server kicks the ball across the suitcases, which act as the net. Ball may not strike any walls or out of bound limits unless it hits the floor first. Server's opponent must return the ball over the net using only his feet, head, and/or chest - any contact with hands or arms, even accidental, scores a point for the opponent. Ceiling is out of bounds unless agreed otherwise by the combatants. Players volley the beach ball across the net until one player either contacts ball with hands or arms, the ball hits the floor twice, is kicked out of bounds, or player commits some other crime against the rules. There is no limit to the number of kicks, head butts, or chest bumps on one player's side. Players may extend body parts over the net into the opposing player's court, however any player knocking over a suitcase, or contacting the floor on the opponent's side forfeits the point. A point is made on every serve, and may be in favor of either player. Play generally goes to 15. Up to three may play on each side, unless you have a really huge living room. Knocking over any household item, bringing art off the walls, or damaging anything automatically forfeits the game. Many dinner guests have played this game, and it gets a wildly positive reaction from most. Great sport for when it's too hot, cold, windy, or wet to play outdoors. BTW The two sides of the net are generally very non-symmetric, so it is customary to switch sides after the winning player reaches 8 points.Leave a comment:

Cool thread, I played Hockey on and off my whole life depending on where I lived. I was on the ski team in High School and played Division 3 hockey in college. Took the last 8 years off and just started playing again last October. This picture is during warm ups before a game 2 weeks ago...
