TRENTON, N.J. - The MTV reality show "Jersey Shore" may have many fans, but New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie isn't among them.

During an appearance Sunday on ABC's "This Week," host Jake Tapper asked Christie if he thought the MTV program — which focuses on the escapades of a group of hard-partying 20-something Italian-Americans at a shore house — was positive or negative for his state.

Christie said the show is negative, and it "takes a bunch of New Yorkers, drops them at the Jersey Shore and tries to make America feel like this is New Jersey."

Many Italian-American groups have said the show is offensive and relies on crude stereotypes.

The governor says anyone who wants to learn about "the real New Jersey" should visit and see what the state has to offer.

I watched a few episodes of the Jersey Shore show, including the finale and the reunion that was on right after. It was fucking hilarious. I didn't watch it cuz it was a good show, I watched it because every second of the show was a joke. Those people are ridiculous.

See..... I have been up and down the west coast. It's fun, good times.... I haven't been East.. I haven't heard good things about going East. Guido's, this thread, and that show are not making a strong case for going East.

You just have to know which clubs to avoid. Guidos tend to travel in packs. Certain clubs are "Guido clubs", others aren't. Certain places are overpopulated with Guidos, others aren't. CT, NY, NJ.......too many Guidos to count. But go to VT, ME or NH and they're an endangered species.

Two things that I am usually suspicious of:

-Clubs that allow drinks on the dancefloor
-Clubs that serve drinks in plastic cups.
