Yeah, I've always thought of them as sort of a 4dr. Civic Si with more torque.

I have a couple of friends who used to own them.
One had a Spec V with a Turbonetics full turbo kit on it, Tein coilovers, JWT clutch & flywheel, Enkeis, etc...

The thing was quick.
Unfortunately, some of them have problems with head gaskets. The breaking point on those cars for both of my friends who owned them was the head gasket. One of them got a brand new engine installed at the dealership for free from warranty :up:

The guy with the turbo kit on his car had no such luck :down:

They go for so cheap too.

so did they fix the problem with the headgaskets? or you have to check before you buy one?

fucking dumbass could have sped it along with the antifreeze by SCREWING THE GODDAMN SPARKPLUG IN!!!! without that in there, it CANNOT hydrolock, because the water has someplace to go. this shithead cant even fuck up a good engine right!!!

Not sure. As I understand it, the 2.5L engine in the SER Spec-V is essentially just the base model Altima engine shoe-horned into a Sentra.
Both of the guys I know drove the piss out of their cars. I'd bet with a regular driver, they'd last a little longer.
