WA / Where to stay?

We'll be running the Green River Marathon in Kent, WA this June; and was looking at either a hotel in Seattle or a cabin near Leavenworth or so. Any recommendations on where to stay in either locations?

Mediterranean Hotel in the Queen Ann section is a cool place. Cheap, great location.

Leavenworth and Kent are soooooooo far apart. If you're here just for the marathon you should stay near the airport or in Kent/Tukwilla/Renton area.

Yeah I know they are far apart; the idea is to fly in on the 3rd, stay with a friend til the marathon; then stay for 3 days somewhere else.

i've stayed at the motel 6 in Issaquah its really cheap

if you like the outdoors, stay up at mt rainier for a day or two
leavenworth is cool also, just not cool enough for 3 days
