Guam is a US territory and the aussies, and Europeans are much further along into all this shit that BHO was rambling about, so if you dont like that then you wont like it in those places form a political stand point. Same thing happened with the militery cheifs when Obama said he wanted gays to serve proudly in the military. LMFAO.

But WOW what a bunch of pep-talking with no actual substance. a total feel-good speech.

Not in my opinion. It wasn't so much of a pep talk as a lecture. It was daddy lecturing a recalcitrant son for not following orders. I have never heard a SOTU address like that in my life. It was so full of frustration and anger. Every time he tried to say something to bring us all together, he'd turn right around and vilify somebody... Republicans, Corporations, etc. He blamed Bush, again. He pointed the finger at himself, but only to say that he hasn't gotten everything he wants. The rest of the time, he had the finger pointed squarely at anybody who opposed him, including us.

And, he very clearly is not backing off from health insurance reform (he blamed the Republicans for blocking it), Cap and Tax Climate bullshit, more taxes, bigger government and other parts of his radical agenda. He didn't try to move to the center at all.

The only good thing he said all night was mentioning nuclear power and oil exploration. That was a bid to try and get Republicans to support his health care and Climate Change stuff, but still, that stuff would be good, and probably the only good thing we'll get out of him.

Overall, I was deeply offended by his condescending attitude and his sheer arrogance. His delivery was poor and he stumbled over a bunch of lines. You could tell that he can't remember from one sentence to another what the heck he was talking about (since he's just reading). You won't see the mainstream media making fun of him for it though.

The funny part is that it's so basic. It's like the over dramatization of Republicans that you see and hear about in High School when everyone's trying to appear more College by vomitting up any and everything they can against "the man". The personafication of Republicans by the Democrats is laughable and frankly, I don't see how many if any can be duped by what they say. Nothing in it makes sense. "If all they care about is money and oil, we'll try and usher them by lures of exploration into x,y,z..."
