The ban would cover semiautomatics designed for military use that are capable of rapid-fire and can hold more than 10 rounds. Semiautomatics designed for sporting or hunting purposes wouldn't be banned.

"If they're used in the army, used in the war — that's what this ban is about," said Ralph Fascitelli, the board president of Washington Ceasefire
Is California adding landmass? And, lol @ idiot politicians.

That statement takes in nearly every gun that is around that has ever been produced.

The general public dose not have weapons with the fun switch on it, so just like CA they are going after the scary looking guns that look like what the army has.

rem 700, win 70, bolt action hunting rifle's that are the base platform for many of the US sniper rifles and were used in off the shelf form in Nam for just such a purpose

The Rem 870 and Moss 590 and earlier variants have seen action in combat in every theater since WWI, and still produced for the C.G., Navy and other special purpose duties for all branches.

Every pistol and wheel gun around has seen combat and used in war time, they were originally designed for the military, to quell indigenous populations up risings

That is a very very dangerous statement, and to think the ones saying it, dont know that would be foolish at best. Again one more time the 2a is not about sport shooting and hunting it about keeping the govt honest

                oh gosh. here it comes.

im not even going to begin a huge essay on how idiotic these numbskulls are who are in charge of this type of pointless legislature.

It is just so funny to me how many people actually think that banning assault weapons will all of a sudden drastically reduce gun crime. Do they really think that making it harder to buy an assault rifle will stop someone bent on killing someone? Any handgun or bolt-action rife is just as capable of killing as any assault rifle, the only difference being the volume of actual bullets fired.
