Looks like we are going to have a bunch more idiotic coments like this in this thread.

I saw it at the la show. I loved it. I love the way it sits, how everything is just at a comfortable reach. I do feel it will give the gsxr a good run, but like you guys have mentioned that a 1000 might be a little to much. In my belief for some people it is but for other its much better and fun. I think by meliving in so cal a 1000 is to much just because of the cities but if i were on open road holy fuck i would top the bitch out.
i might be wrong but when i looked at the price it was the same as the ducati 898 but with more power i just wished it was single sided swing arm.
i myself will be buying on as soon as i can afford it it caught my attention more than anyother bike.

I don't like the "Transformers" look. I will stick with my Ducati.

I absolutely love it, and not in a bmw fanboy kind of way. I'm not a fan of any other BMW bikes really, but all the reviews I've read on this thing have been very very positive and I really like the assymetrical aspects of it.

Unless you compete in motorcycle racing at a professional level, you don't "run out of power" on a 600.

If your attitude is you aren't scared of your 600 in a straight line speed anymore you still have a lot to learn. Many people get faster bikes once they get used to the power of their own, but that's not even 1/10th of what a sport bike is about. When someone simply states to forget a 600 and go for a 1000, they always sound like a squid to me.

                        ^^This.

I'll also add that if more people would learn to ride on lesser bikes than a sports 600/750/1000, then we'd all be better off. Better riders, less accidents, lower insurance.

                        I still want an S1000RR though ;)

No one can push a 600 to its limits. So whoever said you run out of power on a 600 in 2 weeks needs to find some corners.
Ma che cazzo state dicendo? :|

I ran out of power on my R6 in less than 2 weeks, the thing was a pesky screamer, the only good thing was a slipper clutch :D
The 998R that replaced the R6 was a much better bike

PS The beemer is a very nice design and should be an awesome bike

I can't imagine running out of power on a 600cc sport bike. I'm more than happy ridding my old cb550 which on a good day maybe has around 50hp.
