I got in trouble at my HOA for changing a tire in my own fucking drive way. "Vehicle's are not to be worked on in the drive way under article blah blah..."

I called the HOA community rep. and was like, "What the fuck is this letter I got in the mail?" To his credit, he was fairly reasonable when it came to retracting the "mark" on my HOA record. Sometimes I wonder what's next. Then I just drink another beer and try and forget it.

I hate HOA's like this.

Early this week I got about 5 phone calls from 2 different people due to not immediately taking care of leaves that are on one of my customer's lawn (I have a lawn maintenance business). If anybody knows anything about rubber trees, they have huge thick annoying leaves that break off at the slightest wind, and it was freaking windy early this week.

So I got 4 calls from my customer's cleaning lady (they live up north most of the time) bitching about how she and the neighbors find that it looks bad and how leaves are going into the neighbors lawn due to wind.

What the hell? I was just there a few days prior cutting the lawn, and since it has been ridiculously cold in Florida this winter, nothing has grown at all. The neighbor was also on the HOA's board so that just makes everything so much better.

Sorry but with college, a full time job, AND my own business, I have no time to go clean up a few leaves at some lazy old-person's whim. When I called the customer about it, she seemed irritated at her neighbors for being such priss-bags.

To summarize, I planned on being there within the next few days anyway, like I normally set my schedule to for the lawn business. I ended up getting up early one morning before school to go do that shit because I hate nothing more than people that complain about idiotic crap.

depends on the HOA, some times its in the agreement that the HOA can foreclose on your mortgage and kick you the fuck out
