He did. He volluntarily left the show to allow NBC to keep their promise to Conan. Conan's ratings sucked. Sucked like a black hole, easily half of what Jay had. So, shocker, the NETWORK (as in not Jay Leno) wanted to restore the status quo since the status quo got double the ratings.Originally posted by joshh View Post
Leno is still an employee and he was told that his show needs to be at a time slot and he is going to do his job. People trying to make it out like Jay used his superpowers to steal the job back and its bullshit, its because Conan sucked at that slot.
Conan is better when idiots are watching, so after midnight. Most adults dont find him entertaining so he sucked being on before they went to bed. Its simple math.
Also, NBC asked Conan to push the show back a half hour and give jay that small slot and he refused. He took his money and run. Conan is responisble for his people being unemployed, he could have moved the show back a half hour and chugged along.Im now E30less.
