      There are discussions of completely closing the track and stopping the luge competitions because of this. Not good.

          thats really sad. I think the luge course should be a big tube, and then glass on the top so they can film it, that way things like this wouldnt happen. If it saves even one life, its worth it.

              No amount of padding would have saved his life. There should have been clear lexan wall extending from the top edge of the track to the ceiling, like in hockey.
