Why stop with rubiks cube robots? If I had these skills I would put them to much better use. Then again, maybe this guy has already thought of lego fucking machines, lego beer delivery systems and lego sandwich makers.tasty

old tech is old. they've had rubix cube solving robots since way back in 2003 at least. probably ever since mindstorms first came out, actually.
btw, they're using a program that is even older that can solve any rubix cube in an average of 55 steps. the current program can solve any in under 22 steps

awesome!
I built a robot that played tower of hanoi in college. programmed it in C++, built some solid state stuff to control it and the robotics out of old dot matrix printers. of course mine wasnt fast but was still kick ass that it could play the whole game, figuring out what to do on its own.Comment

We've got 5 of those mindstorms kits at school that we can play with whenever we want. They are really cool. I only wish I had shit like that when I was a kid. My children sure will.
