    Anyone bank with Citigroup?

A heads up warning of something possibly on the horizon! Not a good sign for those that bank with Citigroup.

The image of banks locking their doors to keep customers from making withdrawals during a bank run is what immediately came to mind when we heard that Citigroup was telling customers it has the right to prevent any withdrawals from checking accounts for seven days.

Precisely why I don't do my banking with large multinational banks, I've been with a local bank for almost 10 years. My money is deposited here, invested here, and stays here.

Citi, Chase, US Bank, Bank of America, these are all things to steer clear of.

The SEC just passed similar rules on Money Market accounts recently as well. Gives you that warm and fuzzy feeling does it?

So...does that mean they are going to cover late fees? This is a dick head move on their part. They need to reign in their investments and have more cash on hand.

I have a Credit card through them. Was recently informed that my APR will go from ~13.5% to 29.99% in august!

I have never carried a balance let alone, made a late payment or defaulted. The only reason I've stayed with them this long is they keep sending me $50 cashback checks every few months which is pretty nice.

I might dump them and start using my AmEx. Benefits arent as good, but their customer service rocks.

had a bad expirience with Citizens today, which they randomly took $25 out of my checking account without me relizing, causing me to over-draft.Because of some Bullshit fee I was never told of. I'm very careful with my checking and keep money in there.

Im wicked mad right now. Fuck citizens.

Who in their right mind would do banking with a bank that won't allow you to access your money? My only experience with citibank was some financing for a couch set I purchased in house at a furniture store, they kept sending me these stupid loan offers for 10,000 with no interest until after six monthes at which point you owed 29% for each of the six months... Fuck these guys

Usually don't use my card. I had $70 on it,two days later they charged me $25 for an annual fee I was NEVER told of, just randomly. the same day I had 10 Dollars transferred and made a $30 purchase at sears. then a random gas purchase i made the day I put the $70 in went thru. Without that fee I would of had 20ish or so dollars on it. I'm a high school kid, I dont have much money.

Basically I don't give me self much of a buffer , usually only have $30 or so on it, but the one day I decide to use it they take another $25 out.

if I was told of this fee, and they randomly didn't take it out, i wouldn't be out $82.41 in fucking over-draft fees. It wasn't in writing, they just randomly took it out.
